Residential Adolescent Drug Treatment
At Vista Academy we believe you should put your adolescent in the hands of people who know, who understand and who are passionate about adolescents.
An adolescent’s path to sustainable long-term sobriety and healthy living requires an approach that is comprehensive, specifically tailored to their age group and creates an emotional attachment to the idea of being sober. We have created a program of attraction that makes the idea of sobriety irresistible. This concept of attraction based programming is at the core of what sets us
Utilizing a Treatment Team Mentality to Deliver the Best, and Most Individualized Care Possible
Vista Academy’s Adolescent Drug Treatment Program is designed specifically for teenage boys and their specific needs. Our treatment curriculum helps teens build competency in five core areas: Sobriety, Life Skills, Physical Fitness, Academics and Emotional Intelligence. Each client has their own personal treatment team consisting of a therapist, an academic coach, a psychiatrist, and a neuropsychologist. The treatment team meets on a weekly basis to discuss each client’s progress throughout their time at Vista Academy to ensure that they are receiving the most up-to-date and individualized care needed. Together the treatment team ensures that each client is achieving in the five core competencies both individually and as part of the Vista Academy community as a whole.
In addition to intensive counseling in areas related to substance abuse, every client participated in individual, group and family psychotherapy. Staff psychiatrist and neuropsychologist meet with each new client upon admission to perform psychiatric testing and develop a personalized treatment plan. Both then continue to provide psychiatric services and monitor each student’s progress throughout their time at Vista Academy.
We Work to Prepare Teens and Adolescents for Life During, and After Treatment
Our unique treatment program allows clients to work one-on-one with the members of their treatment team to develop an individualized treatment plan that caters to their individual clinical, physical, intellectual and emotional needs. During their time at Vista Academy, clients will set, and work towards their goals and gain the skills they need to be successful in life both during and after treatment. Our Emotional Intelligence, Life Skills and Experiential Therapy components help residents slowly apply the skills they learn to real life as they continue along their path to becoming young adults.
Our staff is passionate about helping our teens find their passion, set goals and then work with them to help them achieve and succeed.
