About Our Adolescent Drug Rehab Program

Vista Academy: Residential Adolescent Drug Treatment Center
Vista Academy is a specialized drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility for adolescents and teens struggling with addiction. We are the brainchild of two Southern California rehabilitation giants: Vista Del Mar and Sober College, and have taken the applicable parts of our program and combined them into a unique program designed specifically for the teen population.
The treatment curriculum at Vista Academy combines Sober College’s Five Core Competency model and meshed it delicately and Vista Del Mar’s focus on the Cycle of Need. Together these two programs bring to the table 150 years of experience in adolescent treatment, JCAHO and WASC accreditation and the most cutting edge approach to combining addiction treatment and education to produce a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation facility that offers exactly what the recovering teens needs to succeed and maintain long-term sobriety.
Our Treatment Curriculum
Through one-on-one, as well as group and experiential therapies, residents will experience what it means to deal with the underlying roots of addiction: what causes it and how to fight it. They will learn to creatively overcome obstacles and challenges that would seem impossible to the active addict. They will also learn about essential life skills, and what it means to give back to society through community service, life skills groups and being held to a rigorous standard of accountability. Through varied creative arts programs, they will learn to positively channel their emotions and creativity into pieces of art through various mediums including drawing, painting, music and film. Overall, our program offers young addicts and alcoholics the chance to learn how to be cooperative, upstanding citizens that give back as much as they take from society.
