Vista Academy’s teen mental health services are very specific in nature and tailored to meet the individual’s needs. We provide a counselor, a psychiatrist and a therapist, that work closely with the students.
The mental health services offered at Vista Academy are geared specifically towards the adolescent population. This gives our clients a sense of belonging in addiction to treatment for their addiction and co-occurring disorder(s). Counselors provide constant guidance until the clients can feel the change themselves. The clients begin to notice a gradual progression in their level of focus, and the quality of their work improves. The mental health care at Vista Academy keeps the five core areas in mind. The Five Core Competencies are emotional intelligence, fitness, life skills, productivity and of course sobriety.
Individualized Care Plans
Vista Academy provides licensed practitioners who incorporate a wholesome therapeutic approach that targets substance abuse disorders in adolescents. Mental health services are based on a comprehensive assessment and diagnostic criteria taken within the student’s first 72 hours. The mental health services provided by Vista Academy encourage adolescents to develop a positive attitude and thinking. The intensive assessment process along with other specialized therapy like anger management, neuro-feedback, behavioral cognitive therapies are all done to consider the overall progress of the individual.
Vista Academy’s mental health services help in dealing with stress, anxiety and other disorders. Also, they help with working on the self-destructive habits that many adolescents develop. Adolescents need a lot of support and encouragement for them to believe in themselves, and overcome addiction.
